A Commisson

Another commission is leaving the workshop this week. This time it is a two storey fairy house furnished with special furniture.
I love the way each one is different. A unique fairy house.
The furniture sweetly arranged by my girl for the photo.

And the house is packed by her too! Ready for it's journey south and new owners.

For commissions please contact us at www.theelvesandthewoodbotherer@gmail.com

Introducing...

The Mushroom House
I wonder - who would live in a house like this?

a little family of gnomes? yes - I think so!

there's 3 beds upstairs...

and a table in the kitchen...
and little windows to peek out of

good bye from the gnomes!

The Mushroom House is now available in the shop. To see this and more of our toys head on over to Felt.

Also, we are delighted to be featured this week by Janelle from Heartfelt. Make a comment on her blog post (here) to be in with a chance of winning this week's giveaway - a Woodbotherer Sword and Shield. Good luck.

Finally, we would love to know what you think of the Mushroom House and the Gnomes if you want to leave a comment.

Best wishes

Work in Progress

Every now and again in this busy home of ours I like to stop and take stock of all the 'work in progress'.

In a rare quiet moment I took my camera around to find out what was being made....

 sketching in the workshop...

a new shaped fairy house will be ready soon....

in the sewing room a little family grows...

Autumn = knitting and this time something for me! The pattern is here

a little workspace made on an upturned crib

these look sweet

working out on paper + table...

and look what I found in the playhouse!
Have a great weekend and next week you will see the new fairy house and it's inhabitants in full!

Wooden animals

The woodbotherer had a request to make some wooden animals. So, many little creatures have been coming out of of the workshop lately...

gnome home

There have been some rumblings in the workshop

Some drawings first in the sketch book and then onto wood...

Some little homes taking shape.

A sweet little family moves into a simple sturdy home with a fire place and a little front door.

Some folks have been asking where they can buy the things we make. We love to work to commissions (just send an email) but now for the first time you can find us on Felt

Click here to check out the beginnings of our little shop.

Have a great week.

In the Workshop

A Castle

In a few weeks time our little boy will turn 4. When he announced he would like a Castle the Wood Botherer's mind started working, his eyes glinting. Then he was gone, and everyone else banished from the workshop whilst he worked on some very important top secret stuff.

Well, today I can give you a peek at the Castle nearly complete but still in progress, yep still tweaking. Here she is:
This is the Gate House and one of the turrets

A turret on each side and a large tower at the back

A view inside the Castle. Bottom level is a kitchen with large fire place, next level is the throne room and above are the royal bedrooms. I have to say I am loving all those stairs with access to the next level.

and of course the knights and archers to keep guard

Thanks for visiting! It has been a fun start to blogging. We plan to update weekly so there is plenty of time for making. So, see you next week.
